Last week, I was in Toronto for “Big Deal Toronto” an event organized by Karen the blogger behind the blog Curvy Canadian. To give you a quick summary of what Big Deal Toronto was, just picture it as a collective of Toronto based plus size fashion bloggers (and one montrealer…me of course.. :-D) who got together under one roof for a ‘shop their closets’ pop up sale. The event was a tremendous success, the place was packed, there was a lot of trendy and affordable garments, a tone of ruffled prizes, I made some money and I got to meet great people…What more could have I asked for?

Sarah Anne from Big Hips Red Lips
Go Peter!! He was such a blessing that day!
Reagan from Sodapop Sweetheart
When Karen told me about her event, I was mostly excited to attend because I was getting a chance to meet other canadian plus size bloggers and I would also be getting a chance to experience what it felt like to be part of an active local plus size fashion community. But It really got me thinking since similar events already exist and frequently occur in the US and in some European cities, could a similar event work in Montreal? What do you think?
