Bold move at Montreal’s Fashion and Design Festival by DYDH
Fashion remains one of the greatest way to make a silent statement and DYDH productions illustrated that hands down last Friday during Montreal’s Fashion and Design Festival. From breaking down so many fashion rules to mixing up some gender fashion cues they did it all. We saw boys wearing sequins or walking in heels, girls wearing androgynous garments or showing off their large breast and a plus size girl each have their turn on the runway and I’m so glad I was able to take place in it.
Fashion is an art form that allows us to take daily risk regardless of your size and I was proud to show that and to be able to represent for the plus size fashion community on the DYDH runway. I will say it until I turn blue: DON’T BE AFRAID TO TAKE A RISK some will like it and some won’t but I at the end of the day you dared. How can you ever know what works and what doesn’t for you if you never take the chance to try?
Until next time remember you are wonderfully made
