Bra Maintenance 101

Greetings ladies,

Being part of the Addition-Elle’s #BeAShowStopper campaign was great but it also reminded me how difficult plus-size lingerie (…or for that matter any lingerie?!?) can be to maintain in a good state. Let’s face it, finding good quality bras or sexy plus size lingerie is not cheap these days, so if like me, you’re hard to please when you find something you like you want it to last. Which is the reason why, I came up with this practical post today so here’s a couple of tips on bra maintenance that will help you keep them in good conditions for a longer period of time.

– In order to maintain the bra’s elasticity YOU MUST avoid wearing the same bra two days in a row. WHY?…Simply because it will allow the spandex in the bra to regain its shape.

– I know that times are hard but YOU SHOULD own at least three bras to keep the cycle going. The one you are wearing now, one ready to wear and one that needs washing.

-Bras should be stored properly in order to not distort the cup.

– Try to wash them by hand in warm or cold water, no bleach because it will damage the fabrics and for drying it’s best to let your bras air dry.

If like me you don’t have time to hand wash your bras and you put them in the washing machine then you probably noticed that your bras lost elasticity. Therefore, I would recommend that you buy these special washing bags that will protect the fabric.

In order to get 20$ off your next bra purchase at Addition-Elle go here to vote for your favorite bra and Addition-Elle will send you a discount coupon…(We could all use an extra 20$ in our pockets)

Until next time remember you are wonderfully made ;-)

  1. Malheureusement, je n’aime pas ces sous-tifs aux bonnets pré-formés et … rembourrés! Difficile d’en trouver qui ne sont pas ainsi pour les tailles 3d et plus!

    Très joli blogue, en passant.
