Last november, Addition-Elle had announced in a private media screening that the fashion guru Jeanne Beker’s clothing line “Edit” would be collaborating with the Canadian plus size retailer to launch a spring collection for 2013. During the screening we were able to see some simple that consist of tanks, tunics, cardigans and crop pants in soft shades of sand, taupe, peach and mocha. The color selection were not what I would typically go far but I remember telling myself as I was watching them that I couldn’t wait for them to get in stores.
When I asked Jeanne Beker what had brought her to the plus size industry, she told me that her best friend and her sister are plus sized women, therefore she understood the struggles that we were faced with when shopping for trendy garments. She also mentioned that a few years ago, when launching the Edit Collection in collaboration with a department store she had to fight to make them extent her collection to a size 16. Since Beker believes that women of all shapes and sizes are entitled to great fashion this collaboration with Addition-Elle was a perfect step for Edit.

Well ladies, it’s finally here and yesterday I was at the official in-store launch of the Edit collection for Addition-Elle at the Ste-Catherine location and so was Jeanne Beker. She was thrilled to present stylish garments with sophisticated silhouettes aimed to embellish a more curvy shape.
