Today I’ll be reviewing the Neons collection by OPI, which is composed of six fun shades. I created the look shown below (inspired by an OPI manicure) using the shades “Hotter Than You Pink”, “Life Gave Me Lemons” and “Push & Pur-Pull” at the request of our dear Ms. Double XL!
I strongly advise that you start with a layer of “Put A Coat On” (the white OPI polish) but I will be honest and say that any white polish will do. This will help your colors pop without having to put on six coats. The polishes were a little on the thick side which made application a little more challenging, but I could say that this is normal for this type of polish. Apply the polish as neatly as possible. The top coat will give you a smooth surface and awesome shine.
I enjoyed this collection because neons are a staple for me during summer months. I will wrap up by saying that Down To The Core-Al was my favorite of the bunch and that Push & Pur-Pull was my least favorite only because it didn’t come off as a true neon. I also think that a blue shade would have been a nice addition to the collection. With that said, I still think that this collection is a good buy for the summer.
What do you think about neons? A must have for summer or a dying trend?
