My second day in New York for FFFWeek was packed and that’s the least I can say, which is why in terms of outfit I needed something comfortable enough to walk around the city and fly enough to not go under the radar. As you can see this jumpsuit is anything but low key and trust me when I say it’s also a conversation starter. I kept getting compliments from strangers in the subway and got a lot of nice comments from a picture post on Facebook.
This jumpsuit was sent to me by Posh Shoppe and when I saw it I knew it was going be a wrap! If like me, you like bold garments that clearly make a statement when entering a room then you should definitely check out Posh Shoppe. Also if you like to shop on a budget don’t forget to use the promo code QUEENSF10 for 10% discount on your order until july 1st. Funky clothing on a budget…Double score!!
Jumpsuit: Pose Shoppe
Necklace and earrings: Gift from Japon
My first stop of the day was at the sample sale where a collective of vendors were gathered at the Affinia hotel. A came across a lot of nice stuff, the pricing overall was decent and my friend even got a nice silky white jumpsuit from curvaceous boutique.
Rikki from Sticky Sweet Danish
The truth highlight for me at the sample sale was meeting these two. On the left you have the designer of the label Savannah Red, which I now adore because she’s fun, quirky and easy to talk to. We had an instant connection and you will definitely hear more from her on the QSF.
Now on the left you have the secret weapon of the label Mynt1792. I call her that because just when i was about to leave the sample sale she lured me to their both and I ended up staying there for a while. In a way, I’m actually glad she did because I came across the baddest snake printed blazer and discovered a new brand that you will also see more of on QSF.
My next stop was at the Blogging 101 panel hosted Marie Denee, The Curvy Fashionista and the Panelists were the Blogger: Alissa from Stylish Curves, Madeline Figueroa- Jones from Plus Model Magazine and the Designer: Marina Zelner from Queen Grace. Things like the do’s and don’ts in the blogging world, how to present your blog as your brand and how to utilize social media to promote your work were all topics mentioned during the panel. But what really stayed with me was when Madeline said that retailers should respect our dollars and market to our needs and desires. I was like “AMEN”!!
Right after the panel, I had to run back home to change for the networking event. For my outfit I went for this dress I got at Addition-Elle from the label Spanner. For this event, I felt it was better not to take my camera since I was going to be doing more talking than anything else which is why I don’t really have pictures of the event itself. Fortunately, there was a photo booth where we could pose with the word we felt represented us the most so I went for FEARLESS.
