As you may have already noticed my blog is currently going through a lot of changes and that’s because Queen Sized Flava like everything else in life must evolve. As a blogger, I often get invited to events that are not necessarily fashion related, which is why I added this new section for the social side of blogging. In this section, I’ll share with you all my experiences, because after all life is way too short for us not to enjoy it to the fullest by trying different things.
I usually love trying new stuff but I’ll have to admit that when my co-workers told me about Igloofest I was like “Thanks but no thanks!” To tell you a little bit about
Igloofest, it’s an annual outdoor music festival which takes place in the Old Port of Montreal. Even if I’m a confessed house music lover, the idea of dancing in the cold
was not very appealing to me, an island girl who hates winter, but I’m glad that I decided to try it anyways because I had a great time.
For four consecutive weekends the old port turns into a giant outdoor dance floor, where you can eat, drink and dance. You could also release your inner child by trying the ice slice, turn into a model at the igloo photo booth or challenge your rhythmic skills on the Sapporo drums.
If you read my last POST, you know that my snowsuit was a courtesy of Addition-Elle and I strongly recommend this suit for anytime type of winter outdoor activities because it’s extremely warm without the feeling of heaviness that you’ll experience with the standard winter jacket. I’m not trying to brag but the amount of guys who came on to me that night was ridiculous, which is why I renamed it “Babe Magnet”…lol
