How hard is it to be stylish during wintertime?
Montreal is well known for having extremely cold temperatures during winter, and I’ll be the first one to admit that I will purposely neglect being stylish to avoid being cold. This being said, I hate the fact that plus size outwear tends to give me the worst shape ever due to my broad shoulders. Therefore, every year I dread shopping for a winter coat, and this year I literally gave up on the hope of finding something decent until I came across the 50% sale that Addition-Elle was having.
I was kind of forced to look for a decent winter coat, since I was planning to attend Igloofest two nights in a row and because it’s an outdoor party I had to be warm. When I reached out to Addition-Elle about my crazy Igloofest idea, they nicely offered to dress me for both nights, and of course you know that I was going to let you know all about it.
I thought it would be great idea to go for two different looks, where one would be slightly formal and the second one would be more for athletic purposes for those of you who like doing outdoors activities in winter but can’t find something nice. Today, I’m showing you the formal look and the second look will be feature on a separate post because I didn’t want this post to be too lengthy.
First, I must tell you that February is the perfect month to shop for a winter coat, because retailers are getting ready for spring, they want to get rid of the winter stock, and this means great PRICES!
Second, this coat was not even on the website, so it pays to randomly go in store to see what’s in there.
I primarily picked this coast because of its shape and the way it hugged my waist. Also I loved the color, which is different from the black that I often see. In term of efficiency it served its purpose, the feather filling kept me warm, and most important it passed the Igloofest test.
I’m wondering if you were satisfied with this year coat selections in the plus size sector?
